The following is a summary of the Q&A session:
Q: Can we not have the "Borehole ID"? just the PointID value?
A: The next commercial release will allow users to have only the PointID Value.
Q: Is there a tool to create "labels" for the BHs? By that I mean be able to set the txt height/width, font type, formatting, which properties to show (name, E, N, surface elevation, etc.).. and store that label formatting for reuse? we had "labeling" tools in GEOPAK that could assemble a label and then annotate everything using that label style. I want the labels stacked and to the right of the BH point. for plans production, it'll be required
A: Yes, when we use the annotation functionalities (Annotate Borehole or Annotate Depth related item) it creates an annotation style that can be modified and reused just as an ordinary annotation style.
Q: Why are levels being created instead of picking levels from a dgnlib?
A: gINT Civil Tools can create levels based on material or readings, or types. We recognize that users may have several needs. Users can set up a dgnlib with predefined levels using material types or other geotechnical information (sampler type, environmental reading type, etc.). However, when mapping the information from gINT, users will still need to map which level name options. If the names are the same as levels in the dgnlib, then that level will have the pre-defined characteristics such as assigned colors for the material, etc.
Q: Where did you set this color equals this material type?
A: In gINT Civil Tools you can change the color assigned to a level using the Level Manger
Q: What is the best method to set a library for color of different soil types?
A: This is v8i but the information and method are still correct in how to set a library for different materials: https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/8861/levels-and-level-libraries
Q: Where is the "legend" that says that this color is this material type?
A: In gINT Civil Tools the information is stored in the level Manger. At this point there is no easy way to create a legend. However, it is possible to extract the Level Manager info into an Excel table, and you can after import the Excel table using the Place Table function.
Visualization and Modeling:
Q: Can you transfer elevation information from an imported terrain model back to the gINT database using this tool?
A: No. Elevation is only transferred back to gINT when you place a new point.
Q: Can the terrains be exported to ASII XYZ files?? (tops & bottoms of strata) DTM or TIN files?
A: In the next version the option to export terrains to LandXML files (.xml) will be available.
Q: Can strata terrains be viewed in cross sections?
A: When cross sections are available in the next release, you will be able to see subsurface terrains in the cross sections.
Q: What does the option "use Existing Ground" do when creating those surfaces? Does it use an interpolation to form the subsurface relative to existing ground?
A: "Use Existing Ground" will modify the terrain so that no triangles from the new terrains are created above the actual ground terrain.
Q: Can this program calculate volumes of lithology?
A: Not in the current versions. However, in the next commercial release users will be able to create meshes, and thus calculate volumes.
Q: Instead of solid colors for each soil layer can you use a cell/pattern?
A: Not in 3D views as the cell does not translate will to 3D. However, it will be available in 2D cross sections.
Q: Is the GeoPak geotechnical tool going away?
A: Yes. It, and the other Civil Applications (InRoads, MX Roads), are being phased out to the single product OpenRoads.
Q: When is gINT civil tools v2 out?
A: The anticipated release is the fall of 2017.
Q: Is gINT civil tools covered under the enterprise license?
A: At this time, all current users of gINT Professional and Professional Plus can download and use gINT Civil Tools Professional or gINT Civil Tools Professional Plus at no additional fee. The version of gINT Civil Tools being used must match current gINT licensing.
Q: Will the next version use the gINT library report for fences?
A: No. But there are plans in work to allow access to the library to display data calculated from fields in gINT such as N-value.

Thanks for watching the SIG, hope you found it interesting. As for your questions, see below the answers :
yes, this is similar as OpenRoads Designer because this is the same product. gINT Civil Tools is delivered to gINT users and also to civil users inside OpenRoads Designer.
gINT Civil Tools can create points ( point ID ) in a gINT project, this is in the SiteMap tab and it creates ids, x,y,z and planned depth. For the other properties ( lithology, sample ....) the data entry is done in gINT
For the georeference, you can select the coordinate fields in the database connectivity dialog. When loading the data, it will create elements using those coordinates.
If you know the geographical coordinate system of a project, you can assign the coordinate system to the dgn file using the Coordinate System tool ( it is in the Site Map tab)

Geotechnical ribbon in gINT CIvil Tools appears to be similar to that in OpenRoads Designer. Refer below
