Lets celebrate May 14 every year as the International Geotechnical Day.
As 2 + pi = 2 + 3.14159 is a unique number in geotechnical engineer. It plays very important role in the design of foundations even before we coined the name of this profession as Geotechnical Engineering. Therefore, it is time to initiate May 14 as the International Geotechnical Day.
I request fellow Geotechnical Engineers and Professionals to pour their ideas on how should we celebrate this special day, particularly, this year because it matches 5.14.15 + hour and minutes as well, and it happens only once in a century.
