I'm using the Replace function in a correspondence file, reading data from an old project database with a memo field. How do replace CrLf with ","? I can't see how to use ASCII characters in a Chr() function.
Phil,
Last time I had to do something like this in a correspondence file, I opened it in Notepad2 and used it's find and replace function. It works like a dream. I use it for editing AGS files etc too. It'll open pretty much anything, and like bog standard Notepad that comes with windows, it leaves the formatting of the original file untouched upon saving. This reply won't let me inset a link, but if you search Google for Notepad2 it's the first result "Flo's Freeware - Notepad 2. Hope that helps.
