I am trying to concatenate a few bits of text into my Hole_Log table.
Basically I want to combine 2 fields within some hand written text e.g.
"Original log produced by " <<HOLE_LOG>> "in" <<HOLE_STAR),yyyy " and digitally reproduced by My Company Name, as part of a very prestigious scheme (2014-2015)"
I am using this code in my Hole Table:
HOLE_LOG,<<DelimitData("Original log produced by ", <<POINT.HOLE_LOG>> in <<Format(<<POINT.HOLE_STAR>>,yyyy)>> and digitally reproduced by My Company Name, as part of a very prestigious scheme (2014-2015).")>>
Odd that I don't need speech marks around the text but I don't seem to...
However my output is this (note the hundreds of extra speech marks)... have I exceeded some maximum SQL string length?
"Original log produced by Geo-Research Ltd in 1968 and digitally reproduced","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","""<CONT>","","","","","",""," by My Company Name, as part of a very prestigious scheme (2014-2015).'"
ThanksJim
