Fence diagram wrapping

Question

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to wrap a long fence section into two (or more) data frames on a single drawing?

Sorry, for the delay. I just noticed you had not received an answer to this. No, it is not possible to do this. Can you explain more of what you are looking for so we can see if there is another way to accomplish this?

Hi Roger. Not a perfect solution to what you want to do, but it works... I have used the following method for site map reports, but it should work for fences too. Create a full sheet template, but with the data frame X, Y Width and height only taking up half the sheet (top) and set all your settings to get the fence how you want it. Then copy the template and change the X, Y, Width and Height so that the fence only takes up the bottom half of the sheet and delete the title block etc so you just have the data frame. Set your output properties for the top half frame, output to a gINT Drawing (.gdw) then set the properties to have an overlap (or to start where the top left off) for the bottom template output and output to a GDW. Go to the General Drawings tab. Open the top drawing then select File Import / Export - Merge, select EXTDWG from the Type dropdown and select the bottom gdw file and you will end up with a single gdw with both the top and bottom outputs. It sounds a bit of a faff, but isn't much work to do. You can set this up to do as many frames as you want, just leave the appropriate space for each template.
