extract records based on zone areas

Question

Please can anyone advise how to extract / export records based on the zone areas defined in the site plan. Alternatively how can records be extracted / exported based on coordinates or another record in the Location / Point table other than just the point ID. 
 Apologies if there is an obvious way that I have missed.

Use a field(s) in the point table to denote which zone the exploratory hole is in (this is a manual process I'm afraid, even if you've set zones in sitemap). Copy the project file a delete those records which don't fall within the zone (i.e. whose field doesn't match the criteria) Sorting the point table by the field is the easiest way to group the records for deletion. Repeat as many times as you need setting up a copy of the project for each zone. Having said the above, unless you need to break up the project file for performance reasons, personally I would keep everything together and use output filters to group records for analysis and interpretation.

gINT Pro Plus has an extra tab in OUTPUT titled Data Export. From here you can export data like you can from INPUT | File > Import/Export, with the additional option of using Site Layout (Map), Filters and Zone Filters. Using a Filter you can make create a query based on East and North.
