How to change one font size of a string and not others.

I've screenshotted a few things to make it easier to understand what I am on about.

you can see in the type No column it says B3 this is propagated from this table http://i.imgur.com/cZzTdJx.png . what I am trying to do is get the 3 a smaller character case as on some logs it spills over into another column.

The way the language program is set out for the report is this= http://i.imgur.com/ihmkmAH.png the part which I am trying to change is "Samp_ref" found as an additional column here = http://i.imgur.com/MemmG12.png
