Split Rock Core Log Plot Vs Depth Continue To Depth

I have set up a split log for our rock coring using the "Bottom Depth Expression" feature in the log properties. The bottom portion that shows the rock works fine but in  the upper soils part all of the Plot Vs Depth features continue their lines to the total depth of the borehole instead of stopping at the bottom as specified by the "Bottom Depth Expression".

Do these features not use the "Bottom Depth Expression"? Is it possible to make a Plot Vs Depth conform top this?

All other entities stop at the specified depth.

  • Dave found a bug where plot columns ignore the Bottom Depth Expression in the log report properties. Thank you Dave. It affects depth scale columns too, where the ticks and numbers continue to the bottom of the page.  We'll report this to Development.

  • Here are 4 workarounds, none are ideal:

    1. Copy the borehole (menu: Tools>Replicate Point).  Have one borehole end at soil depth.  Have the second borehole begin at soil depth and end at rock depth.  This may be confusing to someone looking at the project in the future.
    2. Create a second project with only this borehole.  In the first project, end the borehole at soil depth.  In the second project, begin the borehole at soil depth and end it at rock depth.  This is the workaround Dave came up with and used.
    3. Modify the log so that the column lines continue to the bottom of the page.
    4. Change the scale so that the data extends to the bottom of the page.
