gINT Start/Home page crashes gINT due to script error following Bentley website update

Since the beginning of this week, whenever I open gINT it crashes on the start page due to an script error on the Bentley webpage. This has happened since the update to the Bentley gINT product webpage which opens as default.

Unfortunately I cant click the hide webpage button or change the web address as the software has crashed and doesn't allow any changes! A work around is to open a .gpj directly rather than opening gINT via start or desktop icon, but I should have to do this.

Please advise

  • Hello Rob,

Due to a change in the gINT home page URL, it is causing the script and run-time errors on opening gINT and is preventing gINT from running. This is happening to many gINT users world wide and we are aware of this problem. In the meantime, there are 3 workarounds:
One was to hide the web browser which seems you had difficulty in trying.
The 2nd one is to open gINT using the project file instead of the desktop icon or start menu (you already have mentioned this in your question).
    The third one is -
    • Unplug the computer from the network (needs to have no internet access). Open gINT. Check the 'Hide web browser' box (on the left, above the address bar). Close gINT. Plug the computer back into the network. Reopen. (it will permanently resolve the issue and is the preferred way).

As of yesterday late afternoon, the script error issue was resolved. Please refer to this article: communities.bentley.com/.../113483

When gINT opens, the browser will now go to communities.bentley.com. If you still see errors please clear the cache and cookies in Internet Explorer. If, for some reason, you still have a problem please email me at aparna.matange@Bentley.com
