gInt Logs - Export to PDF stopped working

We are using gINT Logs Version 8.2.004 on Windows 10. This has been working trouble free for printing logs to PDF if we use the in-built gINT PDF writer, but recently if I use this option it just generates a 0kb blank single page file. Using Adobe PDF as the printer also used to work but the program would always crash/lock if we tried to save the output to anything other than the auto-generated filename but this approach now seems to go through the motions of generating a PDF but no actual PDF is produced as far as I can tell.

I'm not sure exactly when this problem started but may be related to when we upgarded to Office 365 2016 from 2013, and then had to roll back to 2013 to retain the Adobe PDF tab in Word and Excel. Not sure why this might have broken gINT though.

Hello Tom,

The issue with gINT not able to generate/print the PDF correctly has been reported. Currently gINT is not certified on windows 10. We have reported this issue to the development already, but I do not have an estimated time frame as to when gINT will be certified on windows 10 . Please stay posted. Also the version of gINT that you have mentioned has been certified upto Windows 7 OS only.

Thanks for your response, but this is an intermittent problem, mainly when printing dynamic probe logs. The gINT PDF writer works OK for other types of logs, but printing to Adobe PDF printer does not work at all on my machine – it looks like it’s printing but then you never get the ‘save as’ dialogue box, however, if I try this on a different Windows 10 machine printing to Adobe PDF printer works fine but the gINT PDF writer does not work at all on that machine.

I’m confused.

Hi Tom,

Yes, the gINT development is aware of pdf and the printing issues on Windows 10. They are working on certifying gINT future releases of gINT on Windows 10.
