gINT startup error

Getting following screen below when opening gINT.  Cannot “no” or “yes” out of the situation and have to open up task manager to quit application.  Can open existing projects directly from file folders without problem, but opening up gINT from application icon to start new project gives me this.

Can't click anything - so Hide Web Browser box won't work for me.  Need additional workaround.

  • Hello Erik,

The gINT home page was moved about a month and a half ago, causing this error. But we also fixed the problem that same week. Clearing the cache and cookies in Internet Explorer should let you get to the new home page. If it doesn’t, then there is a server on your network caching the old page. In that case here are 3 workarounds:

Open gINT and try to check the ‘Hide web browser’ box in the top left. If you can click on it before the webpage fully opens it will bypass the web browser and avoid the errors. (You are not able to do that, but I include it in case it may help someone else.)

Open gINT by double-clicking on a project (*.gpj) file. You may need to do this a few times before it takes effect. This will bypass the web browser and avoid the errors temporarily. This is not a permanent solution.

Unplug the computer from the network (needs to have no internet access). Open gINT. Check the 'Hide web browser' box (on the left, above the address bar). Close gINT. Plug the computer back into the network. This is a permanent solution.
