Using gINT V8i Professional and Data Template gint std ags 4_0
Specimen descriptions that appear in the test rooms do not appear correctly. The first description is repeated rather than each specimen having its own unique description.
All help appreciated

Nick and Graeme , the specimen description field is where you input data.
From what you are saying, I assume you are entering data in the Lab group- Speicmen Table- Description column. You also enter similar data in the description column of the LL PL table. So when you save, it should show you description what you have entered.
It will show the different descriptions that you added in both the tables and not the repeat of the first line in the Specimen Description. This is an example where I have used gINT std Ags 4.0 project file and Ags 4.0 library.
What version of gINT are you using? If you are not getting the similar result, then you may want to upgrade your gINT version to the latest.
If this is not what you are seeing, I may need to take a look at your files - project and library.
Good morning Aparna
Thank you for your response.
We are using gINT CONNECT Edition Version 10.00.00.21 (gINT Professional) with library gint std ags 4_0.
Yes we are entering data into Lab group/Specimen Table/Description column.
When we then call up a specimen to use in a test room (in this case: Lab Soil - Index Group/LL PL Table) the description it calls up is always the first to appear in the specimen table for that location and not the description for the specimen we are using. As you can see from my original post.
If gINT is going to copy over the descriptions from the Lab/specimen table to the Lab test tables we would obviously prefer it to be the correct description for that specimen. If we are working on large projects it is not convenient for us to be entering descriptions for every specimen we use in every test table.
If you have any ideas how to resolve this issue I would be most grateful or a way for me to carry on entering data into the specimen table/description column without it being copied over at all.
If you cannot think of anything for me to look at or try I don't mind sending you a copy of our files.
Best Regards
Graeme
