How to input multiple well installation details

Good Afternoon

I’m in a similar situation now as the person who originally posted the question (10 months ago) was back then, creating a newer version in gINT and getting used to some new features. But what do you do for multiple installations in the same hole?

When I add them with different pipe references but start them both at ground level (0.00) I get an error message pop up (see below).

When it’s changed to be the same as the previous ‘Base’ value the 2nd installation starts at that new depth (see installation details on the right).

Lastly is there a way of showing on the output if a piezometer was used instead of a slotted pipe?

  • Hi Nick,

This is a different issue. It has to do with the Rule written on that table. It is a check to keep users from inadvertently putting in depths below hole depth or depths crossing layers. Unfortunately the rule does not work for multi-wells. I will report it to our development team. In the mean time as a work around you can remove the rule from the table. It will then allow you to enter the data as you wanted. The "check" will no longer work though so it would be possible for you to enter a value below hole depth and the program wouldn't flag it. To remove the rule open the project in INPUT...goto the pipe table at the top. Click on the pipe table properties. (looks like a hand holding a sheet of paper.. goto the gINT Rule tab. Remove the gINT rules procedure on save " Ags 4 Table Procedures!pipesave" hit ok.
Then enter the data as you want and it will show the graphics appropriately on output.

  • Hi Kirk,

Is it still the case to remove "Ags 4 Table Procedures!pipesave" in order to display multiple well installations? Or has the development team amended since this post?

    Regards,

    Ryan
