gINT Civil Tools for Power InRoads SS4

When using Power InRoads SS4 I can view boreholes in plan and 3D views. However, when attempting to display boreholes in profile view I get the message “No profile ports in active model”.  Will there be an update that fixes this for SS4 civil products?

  • How do you project boreholes onto a profile in OpenRoads Designer? I have gINT Civil tools, OpenRoads and Railtrack SS4.

  • You need the latest version of gINT Civil Tools released on 11.29.2017 (version 10.01.00.56) or a version of ORD released after 11.29/2017. The capability was not in the previous version.

  • Have you got anybody worldwide happy with ORD launch? It is pathetic and completely backwards. Workflows have been developed for over a decade using Inroads and they cannot be replicated using ORD (yet). So we can't use ORD to plot profiles that match previous outputs. (For example I can't plot profile from right to left, there are no options to plot the labels along the bottom of the profile, the simplicity of inroads is why users used it etc. etc. etc. )

I have the latest version of gINT Civil tools (10.01.00.56) and ORD (Update 1). But you can't plot a long profile without using "named boundaries". And they profile seeds in ORD are restricting the extent of the profile. It is just a headache to get it to do what you want to do.

I don't know what to do. Is there any way of installing inroads select series 2 and inroads select series 4 on the same machine, so I can plot the borehole sticks in profile using the old gint civil tools v02.03.24??

    What a nightmare...
