Change the name/caption display of fields in reports

Question

I have followed various instructions for changing the field name/caption displayed on my logs, but they are still showing as the previously-entered text. 
 I have updated it via Data Design > Project Database > Name, Caption, etc. 
 And also Data Design > Project Database > Tables > Properties. 
 The fields have been successfully changed in the Input field, but hasn't changed at all in Output or preview. Could someone please guide me to what I'm doing wrong? Thank-you.

OK, go to the "Report Design" tab, click on the "Logs" tab (presuming it's a log your modifying) and you should see something like below 
 
 As you can see, the main body of the log is made up of columns (the things with the dashed X through them) these are column entities of various types. To edit a column, just double click on one. (somewhere in the dashed "X" are is best. This will bring up the columns properties dialogue as below 
 
 You want to click on the "Column" tab and change the columns Column Header Label content to what you want 
 
 then click the OK button at the bottom of the dialogue and you should see that the column header has changed. That's about it really. Hope it helps :-)

If you have made changes to your data template, you won't see those changes until you do File - New Project - Clone Data Template... Once you do this you'll see the changes in the new project. Changing your data template won't change table / field names in previous project, only in projects created after the change. If you want to show those changes in an existing project, create a new project as above, then go to File - Import/Export - Import From Database and import your existing project. Be warned, if you have changed actual field / table names, as opposed to their captions, you'll need a correspondence file to map the old field / table names to the new ones.

Kristy. Ahh, I see. Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick! Changing a table / field caption in Data Design will not (usually) change the name of the column header in any reports. It will only change the table name / column header displayed in input Its mainly for situations like you're working with the AGS data template and don't want your columns in input labelled with things like "LOCA_ENDD" etc. When you are building Logs etc for output, in Report Design, the name of the column is usually "Hard Coded" so to speak ie. you would add a column entity and in the Column tab, in the Column Header Label you would type what you want to display as a column header (in your case, "Moisture") I'm not sure that you can use the fields caption in an expression
