&lt;p&gt;The only legend entities for a fence are graphic legend and surface legend. To make what you want we would really need a new feature ..alignment legend.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only way you can show it now would be to hardcode the color and line type. But it would not dynamically change with each output (ie referencing data from a field)&lt;/p&gt;
