Extending borehole pin - GCT

Is there a way to extend borehole pins upward in some way, so that the location of a boring is visible regardless of where it is located in relation to a layer?  So, if I've got a proposed surface which is above the boreholes, I still want to see the location of the boreholes, regardless of what display style I am using.  I know I can use a simple microstation line with just a few holes, but if there are a hundred holes I'd like to extend, it becomes problematic.

  • Hi Jeff ,

I do not see an easy way to extent the pins for now. Here is what I would suggest : Load the boreholes and drop them so that you get the lines and the spheres. Delete the spheres or put them on another level. Draw a rectangle way above ground and use the trim multiple tool, option "extend" to extend the line to that surface. That will involve quite a bit of clicking though. Because the elements are dropped, they will not be replaced when you will reload the data. We are close to releasing our update 2, but we will check if we can do something for adjusting the pin.
