Meshes in gINT Civil Tools

I have a project that has alternating layers of sand and clays. I would like to estimate the total volume of all the sands (SP). I figured out how to make a mesh for SP, but that only encompasses the first layer of SP in each boring log. Is there a way to make a mesh for all of the SP layers throughout the site or even to make additional meshes for the layers of sand deeper in the borings?

  • Hi Thomas,

For now the tool selects the first from the top; we are working on enhancing that, need to take in account the fact there can be gaps.

In the meantime you can use any field you have which would be unique for each layer, e.g. horizon; if you do not have it, you could tag each layer in your gINT project using a comment column ( "A", "B", ...) and use that tag as the identifier : your depth items will be names by that tag and you can use that for generating the meshes, you can keep the meshes and then revert back to soil names.

    Hope that helps
