Nobody in the team are able to open gINT at the moment. We all have the same message: FATAL ERROR Unrecognised database format gint library. Nobody changed the library. How can we change the library if we can't open gint at all?
Your swift reply will be appreciated.
If your team is sharing the same library and if all the team members using this file are getting the same error message, then yes the library file is corrupted. You can navigate to the folder where you have stored your library files and double click on any other .glb file to open gINT. Once you open gINT, you may want to try Repair/Compact Database utility built in gINT under the Utilities tab. If the file does not repair after this, we suggest you to open a backup library file from your server or your network location where you store the library files.
gINT works with Microsoft Access files at the backend. gINT files are Microsoft access files. There could be many reasons why a Microsoft Access file can get corrupted which are beyond our control.
I am getting the same error, except I am the only user affected. I have version 10.00.00.50, and I cannot open a library edited in 08.30.04.220. My coworker with the older version has no issues opening/editing the library. I can edit in my version and send to him with no issues.
Is there a 'save as' or another setting in the older version that can remedy this? Or do we both need to be on the same version?
Katherine, changes in the library file happen when its edited and saved. There is no separate SAVE or such similar setting when it comes to library file. If a library file at a specific path is saying as unrecognized then it strongly indicates of being corrupted. One has to make sure to be looking at the very exact same library file, on the exact same path as the other folks in the office.
You have to make sure that your machine has taken all the windows updates.
