Drawing entities by distance along a fence baseline

Hi,

I need to draw a rectangle under the fence data frame which would span the whole length of fence and place vertical lines and text at a specified position not by east and north coordinates but by distance along a baseline. Is there any way how to do these two things?

  • Hi Jakub,

I just noticed that your question has gone unanswered for a long time. Can you please send me a sketch of what you are trying to accomplish to my email address below?
I'll be able to give you a better answer after seeing that.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Jacob,

I already mentioned this to you outside the forum but I will repeat it here for the sake of others with the same question. A fence drape would be the best way to achieve what you want. You can download an example of a fence drape here https://bit.ly/2AANJLQ. The file name is fnc_a_gnnn01.zip

Fence Drapes allow you to import a raster or vector drawing that represent a vertical plane along a baseline, and output it onto a fence report. In the example above the drape is a ground penetrating radar graphic. But drapes also allow you to draw your own lines, graphics text and colors if you wish (for example a stratigraphy profile) to create your own vertical plane along a baseline. Whether you import it or draw it manually in gINT, the graphics occurs in a data frame defined horizontally by a selected baseline or alignment (a baseline you can store in your project file) and vertically defined by the min and max elevations of your project. The drapes are stored in your project file.

At fence output time gINT will allow you to select your drape as well as an alignment or a baseline and will project the drawing onto your fence report.

    I hope this helped.
