gINT Logs - printing a single log as multiple yet continuous pages? Setting custom depth intervals?

I am creating 250' boring logs and the lithological data that is plotted under the 'Material Description' column it's extremely crowded and confusing to differentiate which lithology correlates with which depth. That being said, is there a way I can break up this log to print/save to multiple pages? As this is a 250' log, I wondered if I could break it up into 50' increments as it's printing to an 8.5x11.

Additionally, is there an option for me to select what depth intervals I want to display? I.e. if a log is set up at 5 foot intervals, could I change the display to show 1 foot intervals in order to clarify where a sample / vapor reading has been taken?

Please let me know how to go about this. I've tried searching the 'Help' Index but am not seeing how to resolve my issue.

  • Hi TW,

If you are using one of the standard file sets then you can override it in INPUT at the Project level in the Project table Depth Log Page Field or at the Point level in the bore hole table (point) Depth Log Page field. Put in 50 .. That will be the number of feet show on the first page.

If you have your own custom file set and do not have fields setup to override the number of feet then goto report design...Properties and look at the depth units pg 1 . It might be your own expression or a hard coded number you can change it there.

If it is just a hard coded number you can adjust it in the output screen for a particular output.

For you scale question you can set the scale Numbers  and scale tick mark increment properties in report design in the scale entitiy.
