Hi,
I'm unable to save the file after i finish designing the table. Please see the snapshot as attached for your reference.
Anyone familiar with this issue and has a solution?
Thanks in Advance.
Best Regards,
Sapna
Hi Sapna,
I have not seen this message, but the fact that it says the table cannot be locked because it is in use may require me to look at the current setup you have.
Please send me an e-mail with your contact information. I will call to see if we can troubleshoot. kirk.johnson@bentley.com
Hi Kirk,
Thank You for your response. Just forgot to mention earlier that we were trying to make changes to the standard files downloaded from Bentley's website. Is there any setting we need to change to fix that error?

Just trying to clarify a few things here
1) It is on my local and i have full rights.2) I can't see the "Hide design applications" under general tab (using ver 8.1 ). But we can see all the design tabs.3) Strangely, i can edit and save the file now and not sure what has changed.
however, this takes me back to another issue we had - the examples files downloaded from bentley - we get this alert .
We can edit if we allow more than one user to open a file for editing, which ideally we don't want to. Any idea ?
Aslo, get this msg (snapshot below) after I click "check" (refer the above snapshot)
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Ah...Ok so that is a very old version...gINT 8.1 is over 10 years old! The files are only editable by one user at a time unless you have set under file ..system properties ...allow more than one user for edit(not recommended). If you open a file in read only you may get issues like that .. The message in table design may have been different in that old version. I just don't remember if that was a message from that old version ..too long ago.Send me an e-mail and I will call you and we can take a look at it. Do you have gINT open twice on the same machine?
Are you storing a gINT library(.glb) and a gINT project (.gpj) with the "same exact" name in the same folder? This will cause read only issues.
When you create a new project you should give it a new name and if you have a library in the same folder as a project put the library in a different folder.
Thank you so much!
I tried the above and all okay now.
