Hi,
We are receiving regular crashes in gINT Logs, when the crash occurs the user receives the following errors:
The gINT log files reside on a central network share but the crashes don't occur simultaneously for end users, they occur at completely different times throughout the day and when working on different files as well. Current gINT version is 10.00.01.07 gINT (logs). The application was stable on Windows 7 until workstations were replaced for new machines running Windows 10. Same Antivirus product that was on the old machines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Paul
Hi Paul, Did this ever get solved? I continue to have errors similar to these each time I update windows. Thanks in advance.
Donna - send me one of the projects that is offending . You can strip out any project/client info you want. Let me take a look at the Layout.
Hi Art, thanks so much for the quick reply. I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear.
It isn't actually a project that is offending. When I launch gint from the start menu, I get the error message and gint doesn't load. The only workaround I have found so far is to uninstall and reinstall gint.
I just received the following reply from Bentley, which I hope will help anyone having this issue in the future:
This is issue is caused due to Microsoft updates. These updates break the Microsoft Access database engine , which gINT needs because the files (library , project ) are Microsoft Access files. You can just repair the Microsoft Access Database engine.
We have raised this issue with Microsoft. Unfortunately it will get reset with Office updates until that is fixed.
Here is a simpler way to repair it.
1.Goto control panel>Programs.
Find the Microsoft Access 2010 database engine 32 bit. If you have 2 installs of Microsoft Access 2010 Database engine, the smaller file size is the one with 32 bit. Select it and run repair.
