I am trying to show a boundary across all text vs. depth columns that shows comes from a separate table "Stratum". This boundary will show for some depth combinations, but not others. I found a similar topic https://communities.bentley.com/products/geotechnical1/f/geotechnical-forum/183960/boundary-line-doesn-t-show-properly , but the suggested solutions do not solve my problem (line type is specified, "suppress if no text data" not checked, no functions or entry in "second text spec".
The screen shots below show:
1-my boundary line spec (same for all text vs. depth columns)
2-Bottom of stratum (<<stratum.bottom>>) at 2, 8, 16 and 22.3 ==> all these lines display
3-Bottom of stratum at 1.5, 3.5, 12.5 and 22.3 ==> only shows at 1.5 (and 22.3 which is also bottom of hole)
4-Bottom of stratum all of above at 1.5, 2, 3.5,8, 12.5, 16 and 22.3 ==> only shows at 1.5, 8 12.5 and 22.3
I have also found that I need to include the "Top Boundary Line Depth Expression" <<stratum.depth>> to get some of these lines to show.
Is it possible to show this boundary consistently?Thanks
Bill
Hi Bill,
This is odd. It should work, and I don't see any obvious reason as to why it is not. It's a long shot, but you can try Utilities>Repair/Compact Databases on your Library and Project File and see if that makes a difference.
If not, feel free to send me your Library and Project File (jesse.greenwald@bentley.com), and I can take a look.
Regards,
Jesse
For these Text vs. Depth Columns, the Text & Depth Expressions were referencing the Sample table. The Boundary Line properties were referencing the Stratum table. This seems to cause problems. The issue was reported to development.
