Gint Civil Tools, Vertical Exaggeration in 3D Model.

Hello,

Not sure if i am missing something or if its not a feature, but is there a way to exagerate the vertical scale of a 3D Model in Civil tools, i know you can change this in the cross section veiws but I have a Site with fairly shallow boreholes across a large area and with a 1:1 scale it is a bit thin and hard to make out the variations.

Many thanks

  • Hi Charles,

There is no vertical exaggeration in gINT Civil tools in 3d models. I tried to manually scale the elements and that does not work well. The one workaround I can think of would be to hardcode the vertical exaggeration in your project.  You could add 2 depth columns for the lithoilogy, same name as what you have with a suffix ( e.g. 10), as well as one for the borehole depth, export to Excel, multiply the depth by 10, and import back into gINT (override empty fields ). I just tried and it works. if you will spend hours on that project, it could be worth spending 10 min adding these columns.
