Editing Report Design With Custom Plots/Scales

I am a very new gINT user who has recently had to take on the creation of boring logs. I have been given a data template to work with for report design, and everything seems to be correct from project to project/borehole to borehole except the scale of one specific plot, not found or editable in the project database, so I assume the issue is in the template. Is there a way to edit a template once it is created? I do not know how to create new templates.

The data points are off the edge of the plot and the scale will not autocorrect like the rest of the plots on the log. The attached screenshots show the editable scales on the other graphs.

  • Hi Casey,

You are working with a highly customized file set. I actually did a lot of the original design work close to 10 years ago. You can manually change the scale in report design by double clicking on the plot vs depth entity in report design and in the properties you will see a min max value. There you can change the max value. You can setup Overrides like the other graphs from Input and there are also many other ways to have variable scaling automated based on the data range etc... This was what the company that had us design the files wanted for scaling options at the time. Here are screen shots to manually change. If you want to set up other ways to override or automate scaling e-mail me and I can walk you through a couple of options to see what might work best for you. See below on how to change manually.

If you are interested in learning report design here is a link to a good tutorial.

This tutorial is designed for intermediate level gINT users, and is intended for self-study. It covers the DATA DESIGN tab in detail, including an in-depth demonstration of project database and template…
