Hi,
we are using GintPointSort rule (GR016) for sorting boreholes with different names. Assigning sort number works properly. Problem is that gint rule assign number with single digit (without leading zero) which causes problem with sorting (1,10,11,12,13,2,3,etc.). How can I change the sorting rule to insert also leading zero for single digit number so the sorting works properly?
Thanks for any advice.
With regards
Jakub
Hi Jakub,
GR016 should sort single digit PointID's properly. Is this the result you are looking for?
It should sort the same with leading zero's too:
Have you modified GR016 at all? If so, probably better to post your code or send me your files (jesse.greenwald@bentley.com).

Jesse
Hi Jesse,
thanks for answering. What I meant was that leading zero was missing in GintPointSort as in attached screenshot:
I can manually sort it in correct order but it remains in default order in all menus and causes troubles for us. I did change GR016 so I will send it to you by email.
With regards,
I think the problem is that your GintPointSort field is a Text field type. When you use gINT Rules to populate the field, you want it to be a Long field type.
It wouldn't let me change the field type in Data Design.
Instead, from INPUT, you can go to Tables>Point Sort Field to turn the GintPointSort field off and back on.
When it asks if you want to use the built-in gINT sorting method, select "No".
Double-check the GintPointSort field is now a Long field by right-clicking on it and checking Field Properties.
Don't forget to update your Data Template (Tools>Make Data Template) so this change is incorporated into your future projects.
Hope that fixes it for you. Please let me know if any problems.
Regards,Jesse
