How to import cpt data?

Question

Up until now, my company has only used gINT for boring and well logs. I would like to import CPT data to include on fence diagrams, but I have no CPT tabs, and I'm not sure how to go about importing the data. I was unable to find a tutorial, so far.

 It sounds like you may be using your own custom file set if there isn&rsquo;t a CPT table. There are a few options. The gINT standard Us Lab file set has some basic data tables setup for CPT data entry in the project structure and the library that comes with it has a log report that is predesigned to work with it. There are a few other file sets as well. You could merge those tables into your current structure. Or you can create your own tables and fields in the database to capture whatever information you want.

As far as importing data, it depends on what format the data is in. If it is excel where the first row is the field names with the data below then you may be able to use a basic excel import. If it is something like a .las file or a file format that comes from the equipment then you would have to write a rule (VBA code). 
 
 There are some third party developers that sell their own CPT module to work with gINT. Those are fairly detailed and have import routines for common file types. 
 
 It may be best just to e-mail me and I can probably get you set up with a basic data entry table and graph on your fence using the gINT standard files.
