google earth view points error with professional plus

When I try to view point IDs in google earth while in Professional plus I receive an error " There are no data to view in table <LOCATION>

If i downsize this project and switch to professional the points show with no problem.

After it worked once in Pro I receive the same warning about overwriting an existing file in both Pro & Pro+.

Is there a known fix for this?

  • Hi Brett,

I would make sure you are updated to the latest version of gINT . gINT Pro Plus will open both SQL Databases and .gpj files. No need to switch product levels.

I just tested google earth in the latest version of gINT using a SQL database with pro plus and was not able to reproduce your issue. The message seems to indicate that the google earth Setup you did in gINT is not recognizing data in the fields you picked.

Here are the download instructions for the latest version.

Here is some info on the google earth setup in gINT.

If updating and verifying the setup doesn't fix Please send me your contact information Privately and we can reach out to troubleshoot your machine and setup.

  • Do you you have the current gINT version available?  I don't currently have the correct role to access downloads and check what it is.

    I am using

    gINT V8i Ss1 Version 08.30.0377 (gINT V8i Professional Plus)

    Google Earth Pro 7.3.3.7786

The data appears to be recognized because it works correctly with any project that is downsized and opened as an individual project.

I created a new database to test on and upsized the 1 individual project.  As soon as i try to view  the points in google earth off the database I get the same error as before.

  • Hi Brett,

Yes that is a very old, almost a 9 year old version of gINT where support is expired. Please e-mail me at kirk.johnson@bentley.com

So I can get your Bentley account number to see what your versions you are eligible for. I suspect the latest version will resolve the issue. The latest version is 10.02.00.04

I upsized your project into sql using the latest gINT version and it opened without issue
