Unable to launch Bentley Gint software - URL https://connect-wsg20.bentley.com not available

Users are unable to launch Bentley gINT and a search for https://connect-wsg20.bentley.com reveals this URL is unobtainable.

Even using computers that are not on the Stantec domain, so this is not a firewall issue.

running a connection client health check produces:

  • Hi Stephen,

This log is for troubleshooting connection client application. I am not sure this is related to your issue opening gINT. There are quite a few things that happen at startup and licensing is definitely one of them and that would be the connection client.

But If the issue is that when you open ,the splash screen opens and shows the product level on screen (logs Pro etc..) and then disappears,  then it might not be licensing and could be a problem with the Microsoft Access Database engine. See link below on how to repair that. I would try that first and then if it doesn't work please let me know I will have our licensing support team help you troubleshoot the connection client. Let me know if repairing the Access Database Engine resolves the issue. you can also manually remove it and remove gINT and then reinstall gINT which will reinstall the Microsoft Access Database engine.

If you try to open gINT and you get a Splash screen that shows the Product Level and then it disappears and the program does not open it is likely caused by Office 365 updates. This breaks the Microsoft…
