I have a piezometer report (time vs water depth) with 5000+ points connected by a line. I would like to leave a gap (no line) if there is more than 7 days break in between data points. How do I do this?
Hi Monique,
I am making some assumptions based on the fact that you probably have highly customized files. I am assuming this is a "Graph" report type and that you have set all of the properties as date time.
The property that allows gaps in the line based on some criteria is in the graph report properties ...goto override line/DM Expressions Tab.. in the property Maximum independent axis line gap expression (assuming your independent axis is the data time).
This feature is primarily designed for a number IE depth gaps (gaps when the depth is too great between points) or a value is too great etc..
It will most likely work with dates but there may be some grey areas with how it handles date/time.
My suggestion is to put 7.1 as a test in the Maximum independent axis line gap expression (assuming your independent axis is the data time).
Try various combinations of data to see if it give you the results you expect.
If not then let me know we can get a service request and your files and look at it in more detail with how your custom files are set up.

Thank you. That worked. I don't know how I missed that field the first time.
