Library Tables or lookups with soil classification dedicated to ISO 14688-1 and 14688-2 Standards

Hi everyone,

I'm starting with gINT and I'm working in ISO Standard. I saw that there are BSI soil type library tables and other ISO classifications in 'gint std ags 4_0' standard library file.

My question is, if library tables with ISO soil symbols and other classifications (like consistency, carbonate content) are available somewhere. Because I haven't noticed them.

Also,  am I able to extract or export somehow particular library tables from currently existing library files and import into my own project library or any other already existing one?

Thank you and alt the best

Marek

  • Hello Marek,

Currently gINT supports the following classifications of soils:

AASHTO, BSI, ILDOH, MNDOT, OHDOT, ASTM and USDA

For extracting the tables from one library to the other, you need to use the Utilities>Lib Merge/Copy tool.  You can merge, anything from various reports to library data items from one library to the other.  It will be a good idea to create a backup of your original library first before bringing in anything from another library.  This link explains how to merge log report templates.  Similarly you can do the same for library data.

Müge İNANIR asked: How can we copy a log report design from one library to another? ANSWER : This is potentially very easy. Before you do anything, FOR SAFETY, first make a backup copy of your library…
