Hello! I am so happy this forum exists btw. I was able to add fields and have linked changes in depth of borings between the PROJECT and POINT tabs to an existing template BUT the column reads 'Depth (feet)' and I need it to be inches. I've added inches in all fo the relevant properties tabs but I I am unable to change the column heading so that it reads 'Depth inches' instead of 'Depth (feet)'. (see below). How do I change the title of that column?
Hi Flora, the Bentley folks may have a more detailed wiki, but in a nutshell you will want to click on the column entity in report design to open a dialogue box fo "COLUMN-VERTICAL SCALE PROPERTIES". In that dialogue box is a tab for "COLUMN", and in that tab is a field for "Column Header Label" where you can edit the header text
William, When I go to the 'REPORT DESIGN TAB' and click on the designated column I am not getting that option. If I click once or double click all I see is a blue box on the bottom of the screen that says ENTITY PROPERTIES and says 'Select Entity' below it. I guess my question at this point is: How do I open the 'Column Vertical Scale Properties ' dialogue box. Thank you!
You should be able to getg the dialogue box to pop up by clicking (it may be double click) the dotted lines that make an X in the column, where I circled on the screen shot
Hi Flora,
Since this is stored in your company's custom file set, it may be setup differently. It could be a column entity or it could be just a text entity. There will be other things to consider when changing to inches as some of the data in some of the columns may show up incorrectly due to the depth expressions in those columns or columns where data is still being entered in feet (ie Lithology) etc...
If you would like send me an e-mail and we can get a service request setup. I can call and help you with your customized file set.
