Hello,
I am have some issues trying to plot in FENCES the "End of Boring" Label, under the bottom of a boring.
Refer to the file attached. The depth expression I entered doesn't place the label in the proper location. I used 2 approaches but was not successful in either: 1) Using the hole depth 2) Computing the depth based on the top elevation of the boring minus the depth of the boring.

Hi Pelelo,
You would need to use a "text vs depth" entity instead of a "text" entity with the Depth expression being the hole depth . Recommend top align and a small offset.
Thanks Kirk. I remember i tried this option a while ago and did not work.
I tried again following your recommendations, this time, either the label is not plotting or is plotting somewhere out of the fence limits. See attached.
Do you think that the factPDF that the elevations are in meters BUT the boring depths are in FEET could affect the formula?. I don't think so.
A depth expression is an expression only , no text defining the field for placing the entity at depth IE
<<POINT.HoleDepth>>
The text expression is for the text being displayed
Your text expression would be exactly as you had it on the other example
Depth expression
In the design area place it directly on the centerline , below the graphic column entity . I would recommend center .. Top with a small negative offset
Thanks Kirk.
I followed your directions however the entity still continues being plotted in the same location as previously.PDF
You have modified the vertical offset to a positive 2 and have set the offset units to page which is likely the cause. This means it is probably offsetting the text 2 inches above where it should be on the page.
Remove the offset or make it a small negative number for example -0.1
Thanks Kirk. This worked. Another question:
See attached. How do I make more room between the bottom of the boring and the bottom X axis?. I would like to have 1 or 2 horizontal lines under the bottom of the deepest boring.
Please let me know.
