Hi,
I’m having an issue on how gINT output the material description.
At the moment it output the description like this:
Sandy CLAY
brown with mottled light cream, high plasticity, trace gravel, calcareous
And I want to change the order to be as below but I’m struggling
High plasticity, brown with mottled light cream, trace gravel, calcareous
I’m inputting the material description under Soil / Pavement Stratum.
Could you please assist?
Thabiso, it is difficult to make a suggestion without seeing your actual files. But in the gINT standard datasets, the material description column gathers data from
<<ComponentDesc([DESCRIPTION SOIL LITHOLOGY], true, false)>>,_ <<ComponentDesc([DESCRIPTION ROCK LITHOLOGY], true, false)>>,_ <<LITHOLOGY.Description>>
The component description tables are listed in your data design> Library Tables and the its data is in the Library Data tab for each of these tables. Lithology Description is a field in the lithology table.
Similarly, you will have to check your report design for the specific template and open your material description column to see where your material description data is collected from.
Here is the tutorial on logs report design that talks about material description table.
Hi Thabiso
In the Datgel AGS RTA gINT Files, which I guess you are using, the library tables to reorder are
Right click on row header for colour, and drag it down

Get the most out of gINT with Datgel Tools.
I am Using gINT Logs, I noticed that the order of the material description follows the order from the Library Data in the Data Design tab. Is there a way I can Change the order of the rows?
For example. I will like consistency of the material to show first.
Yes you can move the rows up and down similar to excel. Cut/copy the row you want to move, and move your mouse to the row you want this to insert in. Right click your mouse and select Insert rows which will add a blank row in which you copy the earlier row.
You want to keep in mind, by doing this it will alter the structure pf Description Soil Lithology and library will keep this change for any time you use this library in the future.
