Just wondering if anyone happens to know how to add the surface RL into a fence diagram on gINT?
It is not really clear to me what you are trying to accomplish. However the following possibilities may or may not help.
I assume you are plotting a fence diagram by elevation using a field in the point table for the Elevation/RL of each boring
1. If you want to label each boring with the RL at top of the boring simply add a text entity above the guideline on the fence post design page. anything above the guideline is posted above the top of each boring. The example below is of a fairly complex label that includes boring number, coordinates, station and offset, and elevation/RL
2. If you want to place the datum for the RL someplace on the fence drawing you can place it in the text entity that labels the vertical axis of the fence. An example is shown below.
In the example the datum used is stored in a field of the project table called Segment.
Alternatively you could place a similar label in the header or footer of the fence as shown in the example below.
The above 2 examples produce the following sample output
3. If you are trying to plot a line on the fence that represents the surface elevation/RL you can either enable the alignment support module and enter the horizontal locations and corresponding elevation/RL for the surface line (and/or datum line) along the alignment or you can enable the surfaces support module and load a terrain model of the ground surface into gINT and then add that terrain model to the alignment in question to have gINT automatically calculate the surface elevation/RL along the fence alignment.
If you are trying to do something else please clarify what you want to accomplish.
yep sorry I meant I wanted to label each borehole with the RL at the top which is what you showed, thank you sorry as I am new to gINT and I am currently the only person in the office learning
