gINT Professional

Hi, I was wondering if it possible to create your own template on gINT. My company got gINT for our IDOT jobs and use their library. So I am wondering if we could create our own template and/or edit IDOT's template to fit our needs. All I really need to do is edit the report  design which I can do to a certain extent, but I cannot edit the IDOT logo at the top of the report and also everything colored red is locked and I cannot edit at all.

  • Hi Evan, you should be able to create your own templates or modify the IDOT templates for your use. When things are all one color on a template, it indicates that they are part of a block or a drawing library. If you zoom out to the full page, you should see entities to the side, off the printable area, that are the labels of the blocks or drawing. The color of these should match the log entity, so look for one that is red. If the label begins "INT" it is an internal block that you can edit in the block editor menu item. If it begins "DWGLIB" it is a drawing in the drawing library that you need to go to the Drawing>Drawing Library tab to edit. You will want to create a new template by using "copy page" menu item to re-name the template and so that you preserve the original IDOT template. You will  also want to copy and rename the blocks or drawings before you edit them, as any changes to the original version will affect the IDOT template.

The Bentley folks have some Wikis explaining these further, but that is a simple explanation to start
