Hello,
Please refer to the file attached. I was wondering how to make GINT to get rid of the units in case there is no WL data.
It shows the units, however I would like GINT to show a BLANK in both cells or N/A.
Please let me know.1 - how to remove units if there is no WL DATA-red.pdf
You will have to edit the entity that is generating the the waterlevel reading\, it is not hard to do.
Currently, the output text expression is probably is something like <<Waterlevel.reading>> m. If there is no data for the reading it will still print the "m". It may be as a separate entity or as associated text to the label for the water reading.
You will need to change the expression to something like <<HasData(<<Waterlevel.Reading>>,<<Waterlevel.reading>> m, "NA")>>
This will print the reading with units if there is one and NA if there is not a reading.
Your expression and data field names are probably different than this example so you will have to adapt.
Thanks szang,
How do i figure out what is the entity that is generating the water level reading?. Please refer to the file attached. I am showing the block properties of all the blocks that GINT is showing in the report design.
None of them include anything related to water level.PDF
PLease advise.
They are color coded. Its the black one.
Thanks.
Please refer to the attachment in the previous email, page 3. When i open the block of the black title, it doesn't show anything about water level readings. Please let me know.
When you click on the block identifier text it opens the property window for the block. This allows you to define the way the entire block behaves. This is what your file shows. A block can consist of one or in this case many individual entities that are all grouped together. To edit one of the entities contained within the group, you need to select the blocks menu in the report design tab, then select "edit blocks". Pick the block you need to edit from the yellow drop down at the top of the window. Now you can access each individual entity in the block and make any changes. Be aware that any changes you make to the entities in the block will also be reflected in all other logs that use that block. This may be what you want or it may not. If you do not want this, you can "explode" the block in a specific log. This will break up the group into individual entities in that log and allow you to edit them in the report design window. Then any changes you make to the entities will NOT be reflected in any other logs that use that same block.
