I need to change the color of a symbol in my log to match the color output by a bar chart vs depth element.
The issue is that in the bar chart vs depth element on my logs the data is plotted as a rectangle filled with red cross hatching. Above this on the key to my log the corresponding key (RQD) is followed by a box with BLACK cross hatching. I need the box appearing after the RQD% text to have RED cross hatching.
I have attached the properties for each element. It appears that the box following the RQD text appears via a <<DMK!89>> function. I do not know what this function does and I cannot find any properties that change the color of this feature. I have attached figures to help show the problem.
^Fig 1. The circled box needs to have red cross hatching like the lower box with the arrow pointing to it.
^ Fig 2. Same log section in report view.
^Fig 3. Properties for text element in key. The <<DMK!89>> makes the square block with cross hatching appear.
^Bar chart (RQD) properties that cause the bar chart to have red cross hatching (what I need the box in the text element to emulate).
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Aparna M said:The entity box for RQD% is calling for the DataMarker which is the small hatch black rectangle symbol. There is no option to add any color to the text property entity just to the datamarker. You may want to copy the existing datamarker that is getting used, then make a copy of the datamarker and add color to it. Save the datamarker in color and then associate it with the RQD% text expression.
I have tried this solution but have had no luck. I have made a new data marker (named data marker 92) and edited the inner lines to be red. However the box in my log remains black. I have attached images to show the changes I have made.
New data marker in "edit" view
Data marker in preview mode
New code in RQD text properties block.
RQD icon on log is still outputting black
It did not work because the entity color is still set to black and overrides the datanarker color. What aparna suggested was to split the entity into 2 entities. One containing the text RQD and with color property set to black. And a second containing just your data marker with color property set to red. There are other ways to do this but this is the easiest.
