1. How is your Sieve data entered? Table/field names

2. How do you want the output to look? Do you want a complete GSD curve for each sample? Are specific sieves representing divisions between fines sand and gravel sufficient? which sieves?

3. If specific sieves do you always have data for those sieves (even if it is 100%) or will you have to interpolate between sieve sizes.

4. What log template are you starting from? If you are using a smart log that varies column position and size based on available data it can get very complicated to modify.

The very simplest way to display Sieve data is a simple text entity that outputs the results of specific sieves. An example of this is shown on the left hand side of the picture below. You can have it do the math and enhance this to output %fines, %sand, % gravel. Etc.

If you want a graphical representation you can use a bar chart to show the % of specific ranges of sieves as shown on the right hand side of the picture below.

Another way to represent it graphically is to plot specific sieves as points vs depth.

If you want complete GSD curves for each sample you may have to follow Phil Wade's suggestion above.

Again lots of possibilities but the approach depends on how your data is structured and what you want.

Note the above is just an example. The data is just made up and does not make sense.

RE: Borehole Log Template with Sieve Analysis included

You need to design two reports, one log with a space for the graph frame, and one graph for the psd plot. The use gdw export to sandwich the reports on to one page.
