delete lines in report design

I was testing out how to use the tools on the right hand side.  I drew some lines but they can't seem to be deleted.  I've tried highlighting them or using the erase tool, but they don't go away.

  • Hi Christa,

It’s hard to say with a 100% certainty as the screen shot doesn’t show the whole report page, but the fact that the lines are in red likely indicate they were drawn in a block that is referenced in the main report. To edit the lines you would need to go into the block. There is usually a block name on the report in the same color .. Zoom all the way out in the report. Then hold down the ALT + click on the block name. Drill down in the block or blocks (you may have blocks with blocks) until the lines turn black and that would indicate they are editible from there you should be able to erase the lines.

For example : your report may be different but this is an example of a block name, Continue to drill down until the lines turn black there may be multiple blocks to drill into depending on where the actual lines were drawn.
