When I delete points from a gINT file, the file size does not decrease. How to purge the file?

When I delete points from a gINT file, the file size does not decrease. Can I purge the file in some way to force it to actually delete the points and all of their child tables?

  • Hummm .. not sure what you mean. Are the points ( and their data) still visible in the project? When you delete a point, it does not delete the table itself, just the data in the table, including the data called Point ( Boring Name/#) The table structure is still there.

I think you mean that the data is gone but that the file size on the file manager does not change ( much)? If that is the case the database is still holding the space fro what used to be there. Do a database Repair and compact and that should reset the size of the file.

Does that change your file size on disk?
