Hi,
Can anyone help me shift the entire table body below some length from the table header
In Report design, select the report you want to edit in the yellow drop-down selector. Once you have it selected, click on the properties icon which is just left of the yellow drop down (icon looks like hand holding a paper). Click on report structure tab. The page one body height and page 2 body height are the numbers you are going to play with inorder for the report to fit in based on if you have a header and or a footer.
This can be done multiple ways depending on just what you are shooting for, two are presented below.
1. If you are looking to simply shift the data down below the column headers on the first page of the log only you can adjust the top depth expression to an appropriate negative number Thus the log will shift down with zero below the top of the body. To do this open the report in the report editor and select the report properties dialog [f8]. In the Report Structure tab is where you define the height of the body and the footer but there is also a top depth expression property (see picture below). If this is left blank the log will start a zero. If you put a fixed number in there (say -3) the log will start at that depth. The example below shows an expression that starts the log at 0.2' above the minimum well depth, zero or the minimum lithology depth; whichever is less. This has the effect of leaving a gap between the top of the well and the header columns. You can write an expression to do whatever you want and leave the size of the gap you want. Tis only works for the first page of the log.
2. If you want a gap on every page of the log, one way to accomplish this is to manually create your column headings using simple text and line entities and leave part of the normal heading space blank to create the gap. See the picture below.
Note that all the column entities heading properties are left blank which leaves a blank space defined by the column heading height property (you can also use individual depth entities instead of column entities). You can then create alternate headings using simple static text and line entities making sure to leave the desired gap between the heading and the top of the report body.
This is just one way to do it. I am sure there are many others. This is just an overview, if you have specific questions, I can provide more details. This is just a crude example; you must refine it for your specific case.
