Surfaces - Import ESRI Grid

I have a number of grids which have been created in ArcGIS. I wish to import these into gINT to create a surface. However I dont know of a way of exporting these out of ArcGIS and into a surfer .grd format. Does anybody have any ideas?

Is the possibilty of ESRI grid import on the list of improvements for the next version of gINT?

Thanks

Rob

  • Rob, I know ArcGIS is able to generate an ESRI grid. I understand ArcGIS can generate TINs, but am not sure what format their TIN file is.If you convert the ESRI grid (or the raster surface) to a TIN file, and send the file to my public email address, we will see if the surface can be imported directly into gINT as a TIN.

The only GRD format gINT currently supports is GS ASCII format.
