We want to have gINTauto-populate and print our raw lab data forms with our lab assignments, but we aren't sure how to go about it.
In building our raw lab data forms in gINT, we have successfully built our moisture content form to auto-populate based on our lab assignments using the output condition function (<<TEST ASSIGNMENT DETAILS.Moisture>>), which works well as a list table.
When building other forms, which would only have 1 or 2 samples per page (such as Atterberg Limits, Standard Proctor, etc.), a list table doesn't work. How do I tell gINT to populate fields based not only on the lab assignment, but to pull the samples individually for each form as listed on the assignment sheet? For example, I want to pre-populate the Atterberg Limits raw lab data forms with the Boring ID, Sample Number, and Depth for B-1, Sample 1, at 1-2.5 feet, B-1, Sample 3, at 6-7.5 feet, and B-1, Sample 5, at 13.5-15 feet, each on it's own raw lab data sheet.
Anyone have any help to offer?
Judy, there are a lot of ways to accomplish this. It might be as simple as a combination of SQL selection in the lab assignment report, and perhaps a new field to mark which samples belong to which "assignment", or as complex as a Lab Testing Assignment gINT Rule setup, to auto-populate lab assignment values based on some criteria you determine.
A lot depends on what you mean by "auto-populate", since programming your gINT system to enter/calculate data on the INPUT side is accomplished with gINT Rules, while populating a report (whether a lab assignment report or a finished lab data report) with your data in OUTPUT does not usually involve gINT Rules.
