AGS4 DICT table export in gINT.

Hi all,

Is there any ideas why the DICT table is not exported in the AGS file?

The table is set in the database (with data as it should) and the gcx file looks ok. It's an AGS4 file export.

Thanks.

  • Dennis,

Sorry about that. Your posting about the AGS Checker is what I was thinking about. Kathleen suggested installing 8.30.03.077, I thought you were already running that. My mistake. My build is older than what you are currently running.

  • Hi,

gINT latest built installed (8.30.03.077), DICT table updated, correspondence file updated and checked DICT table still nowhere in the AGS4 exported file. It seems like I'm missing something or something is wrong.

    any ideas?

  • Dennis,

You indicated that you have some non-AGS fields in your gINT database. How have you defined them in the AGS Template file?

For example, I have the following two non-AGS fields in the Point table:

    HOLE_CKBY and HOLE_CKDT.

The LOCA group is equivalent to the POINT table, so those two fields need to be exported to the LOCA table.

The AGS Template file needs to have them included in the LOCA group as follows:

    ?HOLE_CKBY

    ?HOLE_CKDT

With the appropriate data types and units included also.

Then, they get mapped in the gINT Correspondence File.

As long as the fields are setup correctly in the AGS Template file and included in the DICT table they will get exported in the AGS file.

If you want an extra set of eyes to look at your files, please send me the project file and Correspondence File.
