Salvatore Caronna uses two of the example datasets in the Geotechnical WIKI to demonstrate two different methods for recording and reporting well data in a new video that is now available in the WIKI.
The first method covered in the video is found in many of the gINT standard log reports for wells. The second method is similar to that used in AGS4 databases, and the video details the differences in database design, report design and symbol sets used to employ it.
To view the video from the example report list in the Geotechnical WIKI, click on the link to General Purpose Report Examples, then the LOGS link. You will find the new example dataset and the video link near the bottom of the list of Logs reports. To follow the examples shown in the video, you will need the new dataset, log_a_nwnl02.zip, as well as log_a_ewnn01.zip.
For convenience, both examples and the video have been linked to this announcement.
