HI, I'm new to gINT and just downloaded an agency report of Pennsylvania DOT from http://communities.bentley.com/products/geotechnical1/w/wiki/agency-reports.aspx.
So in the column of USCS/AASHTO, as you can see in the attachment or from the sample Engineers Boring Logs of Pennsylvania DOT, there is a line dividing USCS and AASHTO classifications. But when I used the downloaded project file and the library, the line would not show up.
Is there anyway to fix that?
Thanks!
Hi rokku
The library is designed to be imported into a standard library, one from Bentley or your companies standard files. I believe the reason the line is not showing is because you have not merged the penndot library with a standard gINT library or your companies library. The line assumes you have a symbol "tile diag01" in your library, typically any standard library will have this tile.. If you do not have any other library to use then open the gINT std US Lab.glb library that gets installed with the program and use it as your base library.
There is a txt file that gets downloaded with each report set. I have copied the install instructions for the PA_dot files
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
Copy PA_DOT.GDT to your gINT data template directory (usually C:\Users\Public\Documents\Bentley\gINT\DATATMPL).
Copy PA_DOT.GPJ to your gINT projects directory (usually C:\Users\Public\Documents\Bentley\gINT\PROJECTS).
Copy PA_DOT.GLB to your gINT libraries directory (usually C:\Users\Public\Documents\Bentley\gINT\:LIBRARIES).
Merge PA_DOT.GLB:
Bring up gINT with your base library file gINT std us lab or your companies..
Move to the Utilities application group and then to the Lib Merge/Copy application.
Mark "Merge From".
Specify the source library file as PA_DOT.GLB. Remember to specify the path or use the launch button (...) to select the file with a file dialog.
Check the selection and query options to best meet your needs. If you wish to merge all of the above, mark Select All and Never Query.
Move all of the tables from the Available Source Table column to the Tables to Merge/Copy column by clicking the >> button.
Click the Execute button.

SPECIAL NOTES:
The database is set up with the combined requirements of all reports. There are some fields that are only used by one of the forms. The field help line at the bottom of the input screens will tell you if a field is used only by one or the other form. One table (BORING SHEET) has fields just for the BORING SHEET log form.
Input can be in English or Metric units. The reports will convert automatically if output units are different than input units. However, units sensitive data embedded within text must be converted manually and input in output units.
