gINT - Custom Line Type

I am attempting to create a custom line type for lithology boundaries. When I look at the properties of the "line type" field it shows it is associated with a lookup "Graphic!linetype". The problem is I can't find a "Line Type" tab under any of the symbol or drawing tabs. Where is this table stored and is it possible to access to edit or create new line typeS?

  • Thanks so much for the reply SilverHaired. I really appreciate it!

  • A couple of notes on the suggested method of creating a "custom" line type.

Entities in gINT don't know anything about other entities, so you can get entities printing on top of one another.

This can be beneficial in some cases, but is usually not what you are looking for.

The method described by SilverHaired uses a Discrete Graphics vs Depth entity to print the custom line type. But, the text is being printed using a Text vs Depth entity and the lithology layer lines are being drawn as Boundary Lines which are part of the Text vs Depth entity. Boundary Lines have 'intelligence' built into them which allows the lines to 'bend' downward when there is too much text to fit within the depth interval on the report.

The Discrete Graphics vs Depth entity will not give you a 'line' that will bend, if necessary.

If the line does not need to bend, then this solution will work.
