gINT-MASTER LIBRARY FILE

Hello,

I am new to gINT V8i Professional and Geopak V8i SS2.

Regarding specifying the library file in the system properties; I see in the help that the Master Library is managed by administration but the library file above it is required.  If I leave the Master Library file blank, it does not seem to impact gINT operation.  If I leave the Master Library file blank, will that cause me problems downstream?

  • Hello,

If you leave the Master Library file blank, it will not cause any problems.  But if you happen to have a central library file that is required for all the users using gINT. then you might want to keep the master library path for that central library,

As its mentioned in the help, the Master Library is commonly administered by a gINT Manager and each time when the master library gets updated on a central location (this location could be a central network location or ProjectWise),  gINT users will be prompted to update their local library.

The Library file (listed above the Master Library) specifies which library file to use.
